Shirley at Two Months

I've become one of those moms.
I thought it might happen.  My instagram is filled with photos of Shirley.  When friends ask me about life I talk about Shirley.  I make silly faces to try and get her to smile.  I make animal sounds to try and get her to laugh.  (She hasn't yet.) And now I'm going to write about what Shirley is like at two months.  I think I've reached the pinnacle of obsessed mommy hood.  Maybe.

Though you can't tell from these pictures, Shirley is smiling now.  My favorite is her "crinkle eyed" smile, especially when she has her mouth open.  Her prime time for smiles is right after I feed her. And I can't help but give the biggest smile in return.  I never knew baby smiles could fill me with such joy!

Shirley is sleeping about seven hours consistently every night.  She has her last feeding around 10 and wakes up around 5.  It's nice to have a long stretch of sleep!
She just had her two month doctor's appointment on Tuesday and she is about average in length, and a little below average in weight.  But the doctor says that's fine and that she's healthy.  We thank God for that!  We'll see if she takes after her Aunt Jelita in height!

Below is a picture of Shirley with her first Bible and first doll from sweet Aunt Pat.  :)

And a little silly face for you.

We adore this girly!  We can't wait to see her personality develop even more and we pray that God gives her a love for Him at an early age.

It is amazing how much a baby's smile can fill you with so much joy. I was just thinking that today when my baby Bradley kept giving me those open mouth grins... So precious. It was so fun to meet Shirley the other day at church. She is precious. :)
